A Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) is capable
of designing, deploying, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting the vast
majority of Palo Alto Networks-based network security implementations. Passing
the PCNSE and exhibiting solid professional behavior, are the requirements for
becoming a PCNSE. The formal certification exam is hosted and proctored by the
third-party testing company Pearson VUE. The exam should be taken by anyone
who is prepared to demonstrate a deep understanding of Palo Alto Networks
technologies. Candidates can be anyone who uses Palo Alto Networks products,
including customers, partners, system engineers, systems integrators and
support engineers.

The Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) is a formal, third-party proctored certification that indicates those who have passed it possess the in-depth knowledge to design, install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot the vast majority of implementations based on the Palo Alto Networks platform. The PCNSE exam should be taken by anyone who wishes to demonstrate a deep understanding of Palo Alto Networks technologies, including customers who use Palo Alto Networks products, value-added resellers, pre-sales system engineers, system integrators, and support staff.

The new PCNSE is no longer associated with a product version number. The exam itself will be updated with very major product release and you should refer to the study guide and related support materials to get the latest test objectives and product features that you will be tested for.
